Brookfield Dog Licensing Due April 30th

Just a reminder that all dogs 4 months of age or older that live in the Town of Brookfield must be licensed, as required by New Hampshire State Law (NH RSA 466).

A new adult dog should be licensed immediately, and a puppy must be licensed as soon as it receives its first rabies shot. Dog licenses must be renewed annually by April 30th.

Please stop by the Town Clerk’s Office during regular business hours to license your dog for this year.  In addition to bringing your dog’s current rabies certificate and any applicable spay/neuter certificate, the following fees will be due for each license:

  • Spayed/neutered dogs                                          $6.50
  • Male and female dogs (not spayed or neutered)  $9.00
  • Group License for 5 or more dogs                        $25.00
  • Senior Citizens (owner 65 years or older)            $2.00 (for the first dog, fees as above for additional dogs)

A Late Fee of $1.00 is charged for each month after May that the license is not renewed. Dogs that are not licensed may risk a civil forfeiture fee of $25.00.

Note:  For your convenience, dogs with an up-to-date license may be renewed on-line on the Brookfield website.

Please refer to the Brookfield website for additional details or contact the Town Clerk’s Office at 603-522-3688.  We greatly appreciate if you notify our office if you no longer have a previously licensed dog, so that we may update our records.
