Notice of a Special Meeting of the

Town of Brookfield Planning Board

On August 2, 2010, the Town of Brookfield Planning Board accepted the Moose Mountain Recreation, LLC Site Plan Review Application as complete. The Public Hearing has commenced and will continue on August 9, 2010. At 5:00 PM on August 9, 2010 the Planning Board will conduct a Site Visit on Moose Mountain. The public is invited. At 6:30 PM on August 9, 2010 the Planning Board will continue the Public Hearing which will be open to public comments at the Town offices. 

Notice of Public Hearings may be published in either the Granite State News or the Foster’s Daily Democrat.  Public Notices shall be posted on the bulletin boards located at Stoneham Corners (Stoneham Road and Garney Road) and the Town Office parking lot.

The Town of Brookfield Planning Board will meet on August 23, 2010 at 6:30pm in the Town Office building.   

Notice of Public Hearings may be published in either the Granite State News or the Foster’s Daily Democrat.  Public Notices shall be posted on the bulletin boards located at Stoneham Corners (Stoneham Road and Garney Road) and the Town Office parking lot.

Notice of Public Hearing:

Public Hearing will be held at the Brookfield Town Office Building, 267 Wentworth Road, Brookfield, NH 03872, on August 23, 2010, at 7 PM on the application of Edward Nason for a lot line adjustment approval for property located on 139 Moose Mountain Road, Brookfield, and shown on Tax Map 30, Lot 3. 

Lot Line Adjustment approval is requested:

A portion of Tax Map 30 Lot 2 of Moose Mountain Recreation, LLC is proposed to be combined with Tax Map 30 Lot 3.

The application will be reviewed for completeness at the Planning Board meeting on August 23.  Upon a finding by the Board that the application meets the submission requirements of the Lot Line Adjustment Regulations, and if the Board votes to accept the application as complete, a Public Hearing on the merits of the proposal will follow immediately.

Should a decision to approve or reject the Lot Line Adjustment not be reached at the Public Hearing, the hearing may be continued to subsequent Planning Board meetings at the Brookfield Town Office Building, and this application will stay on the Planning Board agenda until such time as it is either approved or disapproved.  Anyone needing assistance to attend this meeting or further information, should contact the Planning Board Administrative Assistant at 522-3688.

The application is available for inspection at the Brookfield Town Offices, in the Planning Board room.  The Town Offices are open Monday, 1 - 8 PM; Tuesday, 8:30 AM - 1 PM; Wednesday, 8 AM - 12 Noon; Thursday, 8 AM - 12 Noon; Friday, 10 AM - 12 Noon.  For additional available times, please contact the Planning Board Chair or Administrative Assistant by calling 522-3688.

Brookfield Cemetery Trustees

Brookfield has over 70 cemeteries. If there is any person, family or organization that is willing to adopt one of these small cemeteries, send a request to the Cemetery Trustees at the Brookfield Town Office,  267 Wentworth Road, Brookfield, NH 03872. This would be a great help to the town. These only need care once or twice a year.
