Reminder: Dog license renewals were due April 30!

All dogs 4 months of age or older MUST be licensed in New Hampshire and dog licenses MUST be renewed annually by April 30th.   If you have not licensed your dog for 2024, you MUST see the Town Clerk or renew online before May 31, 2024. A late fee of $1.00 per month is charged for each month during which the dog remains unlicensed after June 1st of the renewal year.  In addition, an owner will be subject to a fee of $25.00 due within 15 days after receiving a notice of civil forfeiture, as well as possible other penalties and fees.  

To initially register your dog, please bring the dog’s current rabies certificate and proof of spay/neuter, if applicable, as well as the appropriate fee below.  Renewals for up-to-date dog licenses may be completed on the Brookfield website, after the initial registration.

Fees to register dogs:

  • Spayed/neutered dogs    $ 6.50
  • Male and female dogs not spayed or neutered    $ 9.00
  • Group License (5 or more dogs)    $25.00
  • Senior Citizens (owner is 65 years of age or older)   $ 2.00 (for the first dog, fees as above for additional dogs)
