Brookfield Town Cane

Brookfield Town Cane Awarded to Doris E. Kurth

            At the bi-weekly meeting of the Board of Selectmen on 23 June 2009, Doris E. Kurth was awarded the Brookfield Town Cane, “having attained the greatest age in the Town of Brookfield.” She was presented with a framed citation, and a substitute cane with brass plaque which will stay in her family. The original cane is retained in a display case in the Town Office Building for all to enjoy.
