2. Roll Call: Members,
Alternates. Appointment of alternates. Per RSA 673:11,
673:12
3. Public Comments
(opportunities for comments from the public will also be
provided at the time a matter is discussed, by a show of
hand and recognition by the Chair, as long as doing so
will not disrupt the meeting)
4. Review minutes of January 28, 2008 review and possible approval.
5. Old Business:
A. Moose Mountain Ski
area, Moose Mountain Road,
Brookfield: Purchase and Sales
agreement holder Mr. Bob Bordeau, along with Society for
Protection of New Hampshire Forests representative Mr.
Mike Speltz, will speak to the Board and the general
public about proposed land uses and what is currently
allowed under Recreation Zoning. Questions from the
public are permitted.
The current language in
the Zoning Ordinance dated 2004 for the Recreational
zone is as follows:

Recreational Zone
1.
Permitted uses.
The planned recreational
zone is a certain tract of land located as listed in
Appendix A. The intent of this article is to provide
for active recreational use without impacting the
environment or the historic residential character of the
community. In compliance with RSA: 674:43, the town
seeks to encourage innovative development and design
through the use of the site plan review process and to
allow lands with 25% slopes or greater to be preserved
for the purposes of recreation and conservation.

Non-Permitted
Uses.
a. Off-highway
recreational vehicles and snowmobiles, except as defined
under RSA 215:A7-A39
b. Camping of any type
c. Dwellings
B. Town Counsel Tim Bates
will be present at 8 pm to review the ballot questions for the March
2008 ballot.
C. Update on UNH
Cooperative Extension town wide workshop schedule of
meetings, etc., for addressing commercial zoning
exceptions to the existing zoning ordinance, for
placement on a special election ballot to take place
during the peak population summer months. Other
possible matters for discussion to be determined.
D. Welton Subdivision,
package of materials received, on view at the Town
Offices. Applicant is requesting a date to appear
before the Planning Board and obtain final approval of
Welton Subdivision application on Route 109.
